ACTING SHORT COURSES
We offer two different short courses in acting, catering for all experience levels. You may choose to take either course in place of an audition for entry onto the two year acting training.
THE 8 WEEK ACTING MASTERCLASS
This is a self-contained course spread over 8 weeks, for anyone wishing to get started in acting or for working actors looking to brush up on their skills.
The course consists of two evenings a week. One evening focuses on the essential techniques of movement and voice and features workshops in particular skills such as clowning, improvisation, stage combat and period dance. The other evening will focus on acting and scene work and will see students working with a director on a variety of texts and styles, incorporating both classical and contemporary work.
NEXT TERM DATES: TBC
TUESDAY & THURSDAY
The course is open to anyone aged 18 or over. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you have any particular access requirements then please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 07908 892235 to discuss how we can best support you.
THE FOUR DAY ACTING INTENSIVE
Do you have what it takes to be an actor?
Come and find out!
This intensive schedule of acting, voice, movement, Shakespeare, period dancing and stage combat replicates the timetable of the two year acting training and culminates on the final afternoon in an informal performance of a contemporary scene.
Growing in confidence and ability, students with either some or no experience can enjoy the course as a self-contained drama school taster or as an audition for full time training at The School.
